Original artwork description:

This artwork today. It is created on a 20 x 16 stretched canvas. It is titled, "The Pool Point Bridge." It is a popular CSX train bridge outside of Elkhorn City Kentucky. I had started this artwork with the idea to show the beautiful colored fall autumn scene at the end of a famous train tunnel. As I started to lay out the sketches to start the painting we realized it looked like an old time black and white photograph of the scene......SOOOO I have decided to paint it twice. Firstly I will create this black/white artwork then I will produce the same scene with the fall colors. BUT THEN... one of our family members suggested i should paint it in the 4 seasons sooo... I will probably do it 4 more times. I once did that for a Collector of my art in California that had me do 4 seasonal artworks of a shack he loved on his ranch. This artwork is inspired by a pic taken by our family that lives just a little on the north side. Hah! They had come back down to trace their roots in the holler land. They did a lot of hiking and wading creeks in the same places ole' Daniel Boone use to explore and hunt. The picture they shared burnt itself in my mind so I have to paint it to get it out! Just saying. It is sold UNFRAMED but we have included a few pics of it framed for your consideration.

Materials used:

stretched canvas, acrylic paints
