Original artwork description
In my drawing, there's a moment captured where an owl is hunting a mouse, but its gaze is not on its prey, but rather directed somewhere into the distance. I believe this serves as an example of how we often focus on our current tasks or minor problems, just as the owl focuses on its prey, and fail to notice the breadth and diversity of the world around us. Our attention can be tied to daily affairs, and we might overlook more significant events and opportunities that lie beyond our direct view.
Perhaps, this is a reminder that sometimes we need to stop and look more broadly in order to discover new horizons and opportunities hidden beyond the superficial level of our immediate interests and concerns. Such a look into the distance, beyond the obvious, can reveal to us entirely new perspectives and beauties of the world that we have never seen before.
Medium: color Schneider ballpoint pens, color Cretacolor pencils and white Sakura gelly roll.
Material: Fedrigoni recycled paper.
The artwork is sold unframed.
