To create this sculpture I used the original sanpietrino, The sanpietrino was born in the Renaissance era and became the pavement of the historical center of Rome and Central Italy.
"The other site" is the hidden part of the cobblestones which is in the contact with the earth and we cannot see it, I've imagined this hidden sides as faces that see and fell us as we walk on them.
11x11x8 cm
This sculpture has been entirely hand-carved and polished from basalt, a stone that is extremely hard and complex to sculpt and polish.
