An ancient teal door, weathered and paint-worn, stands ajar in a crumbling stone wall — its surface a palimpsest of time, layered in streaks of deep green, cobalt, rust, and cream. A small window above reveals only darkness within, while the surrounding wall dissolves into an expressive patchwork of ochre, teal, pink, and white. Cobblestones at the threshold complete a scene of dignified decay — beautiful precisely because of its age, its imperfection, its stubborn persistence. Painted with raw, physical immediacy, this is a meditation on memory, thresholds, and the poetry of the overlooked.
