The old house at Marameelan, Donegal. The roof has fallen away. It was once made of thatch and later covered in red tin. This is the back of the house, turned against the prevailing winds. The chimney and electricity wire of belonging to another less old house, peep out at the top of the chimney stack on the right. This old house was probably used as a storage shed when the newer house was built.

Off in the distance, a modern house with an old tin-roofed shed, and the sea can be seen. The grass is peppered with wild flowers. Marameelan is a peninsula to the south of Dungloe, Donegal.
