Original artwork description
This wonderful view of the old bridge at Sligachan on the Isle of Skye has everything! The bridge itself of course, but also the River Sligachan and the Cuillin mountains in the background. People are often dipping their faces into the waters below the bridge, the legend being that you can gain eternal beauty by doing so! It seemed the perfect subject for a mixed media painting , using washes of watercolour to create an expressive underpainting on which pastel was then applied.
Materials used:
Watercolour and pastel
Details:
- Drawing on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 61 x 46cm (unframed) / 61 x 46cm (actual image size)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Impressionistic
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
