Original artwork description
The idea is based on a little stone like statue I picked up at the market long ago, which is now tied to a tree in the garden…
Then came the painting ‘Statueske’ (also posted on this site) where I played with the rough idea of statues on a rough handmade paper surface.
Here I used a regular paper and I introduced a person in the mix. Her laughter reflects mine at the whole concept. The finish is very nice on this paper.
The close up pictures give a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke. Then there’s the work in progress, and the photoshoot.
