I've just returned from another few days in Zermatt, the renowned ski resort in Switzerland, and—as always—I was captivated by the Matterhorn.
I took plenty of photos and made several sketches to use as references for future work.
The Matterhorn is not only the iconic peak of Zermatt but also a symbol of Switzerland itself. Interestingly, the distinctive shape of Toblerone chocolate was inspired by this very mountain.
In winter, the north face remains mostly in shadow, making it particularly cold.
