A set of four framed paintings are collages with bits of painting, all with the same colours and style. Each canvas shows bits of women's portraits in a lively abstract design. They used cuttings from note paper and printed materials, as well as translucent layers of paint, blue, turquoise and terracotta strokes to create a sense of movement and layering.
The main thing to notice is the mix of the figurative and the abstract: the faces and poses of the women interact with bright, free strokes, as if they're immersed in a flow of colour and textures. The pieces look similar, but each one is still unique and works well with the others.
The paintings are all ready to go on the wall. Great for using at home, in the office or on design projects.
You can use it as the main attraction or mix and match it with other pieces in a gallery display.
The paintings are done using a mixed media technique. I used heavy watercolour paper and acrylic medium to prime the paper. Acrylic paints Amsterdam. The baguette frames are made of polymer, but they look and feel like wood. The colour is a neutral brown. Also, the painting is protected by a clear plastic cover, which you can take off if you want to.
Each picture in the baguette is 32 x 23 cm.
