Original artwork description
A bonus that comes with walking the dogs through local ancient woodland is you appreciate the gradual evolution of summer to autumn and winter. The trunks and canopy of leaves, then just branches above you change everyday. Sometimes drenched and sparkling with low sunshine, sometimes shrouded in autumn mists, but always captivating. 'The last of October' is painted in acrylics and subsequently oil and is my interpretation of the feeling of autumnal walks between the trees.

Oil, Acrylic on primed board
