This is a nine-colour reduction linoleum print, each colour layer carved and printed in succession from a single matrix.

The inspiration came to me on a narrow woodland trail near my home where, in early spring, the ice and snow of the winter slowly melt to reveal the ground in muted colours, and interesting and beautiful ice formations.
