Like the Dream paintings, this seascape is contemplative and meditative. The stillness and solitude of the sea and hills is accentuated by the tiny speedboat in the distance. The brilliant colors of the mediterranean are impossible to reproduce in oil paint - I reworked this painting several times to get as close as possible to it.
