This abstracted landscape painting is made using home made squeegees, with minimal brushwork. I like the way chance and deliberation coexist in this method of working, producing startling effects emphasising the beautiful materiality of paint itself. This piece combines more readily discernible representational features with more expressive abstracted elements.

The work is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness, on fully archival stretched canvas.
