Daffodil, ornamental poppies, hibiscus, musa velutina banana flower, billy buttons, bougainvillea, lilies, orange and purple passion flowers, medinilla, orchid, matchstick banksia, eucalyptus all together in a vase...

This is the first in a series of flowers in vases, my contemporary take on the Dutch masters, celebrating the power of community..where flowers from different continents and in season at different times of year all come together and have a giant party in a vase 🏺 Its about everyone getting along, no matter who they are or where they are from.

The three firebugs in the painting represent me, my mother and grandmother in our garden in Szarvas, Hungary. It's also about the power of female friendships for me along the course of our lives.

This piece was inspired by a wonderful exhibition at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield I saw last year called ‘Dutch Flower Paintings: Exploring Art In Bloom’ in 2024.

How are your paintings and prints shipped?

All paintings are packed very carefully in custom made cardboard boxes with layers of bubble wrap.  Extra large paintings are rolled and shipped in extra strong cardboard tubes. All my prints are rolled and shipped in extra strong 3mm wall cardboard tubes.
