The Hug - Original Reduction Linocut Portrait Print
Capturing the tender intimacy of human connection, "The Hug" represents a breakthrough in portrait printmaking through the challenging medium of reduction linocut. This handmade print transforms a precious family moment into a timeless work of art, showcasing the versatility of printmaking.

Innovative Portrait Technique
This original linocut portrait pushed the boundaries of traditional printmaking, proving that the reduction method can beautifully capture the subtleties of human emotion and skin tones. An bold experiment in figurative printmaking which has hopefully resulted in a touching tribute to love and family bonds, rendered with remarkable sensitivity and technical skill.

Craftsmanship
Created through an intensive 18-layer reduction process, this unique print required meticulous planning and execution. Each color layer was hand-carved and printed sequentially, with no possibility of reproduction once the process began. The water-based matte inks were specifically chosen for their ability to create gentle, lifelike skin tones while adding rich texture when combined with premium Italian paper.
