In Bulgaria storks are a symbol of the coming spring, the coming of new life and perseverance in love. I made this sculpture in 2008 after an old friend of mine asked me to make a gift for his wife for their 30th wedding anniversary. His request was to make something small and delicate that he could literally take out of his hands and thus make his wife happy. This work is among the most liked works by my clients.
Krasimir Krustev’s works require within 4 to 8 weeks to make. Every piece of his fine sculptures goes through several stages of creation – modelling, casting in metal and refining. A distinguishing feature of a great part of his hand made sculptures is their jewelry like quality, and every single one of them is created with great care to detail.
