THE GULF IN SHADES (STUDIO 24)
In this image I wanted to explore the quiet, almost meditative atmosphere of the sea at dusk. Using intentional camera movement and a slow shutter, I allowed the landscape to dissolve into soft layers of colour and light, transforming the scene into something closer to a painting than a traditional photograph.
The gentle motion of the water creates a single, delicate wave that drifts across the frame, while the distant horizon melts into bands of pastel tones. Subtle shades of pink, mauve, blue and warm sand blend together, evoking the calm of an evening by the gulf when the sea becomes almost still and the light softens everything it touches.
For me, this work is about tranquillity and the quiet rhythm of the sea. I wanted to capture not just the place, but the feeling of standing there โ€” watching the water move slowly, breathing in the silence, and letting the colours of the fading day wash over the landscape.
