This is “The gulf in shades (studio 22)” where the world softens and time seems to stand still.
My aim with the composition was perfect horizontal balance. Three distinct layers—sea, shadow, and sky—anchor this image, designed to bring immediate peace and tranquility to any space.

The palette is intentionally draped in a vintage, muted elegance. The foreground water moves like liquid history, a rich blend of deep indigo and cool, luminous silver.
The true poetry lies in the distant mountains.

They are a study in serenity, fading into an eternal horizon through exquisite aerial perspective. Each ridge is brushed with its own unique layer of shadow, transitioning from smoky grey-blue to a delicate teal. This gradient of color gives the piece its name—the sublime gulf between shades.

Above, the sky completes the scene, painted in soft, sophisticated hues: creamy clouds touched with dusky rose and pale peach.
