This photograph is a deeply personal vision of a late October afternoon on the Gulf of Follonica.
I was drawn to the shore by a powerful, churning swell and a sky heavy with dense, brooding clouds. The image captures the precise moment—a fleeting window—where the light offered its final, soft whisper before the rain started to fall hard. This is not a simple scene, but the visceral memory of that final moment of light and motion.
The gulf in shades (studio 21) it’s a Poet's Vision of the Sea; the chaotic energy of the storm-driven sea and the weighty sky has been transformed into an abstract, painterly composition. The result is a work that moves beyond documentation to convey the feeling of that wild, transitional moment.
