THE GULF IN SHADES (Studio 19) was taken along the Gulf of Follonica at dusk, as the autumn light was dissolving into the horizon.

Here, the scene is defined by a sweeping band of cloud stretching across the sky — a soft yet dramatic gesture that echoes the darker tones of the distant headland. Between them, the fading light shimmers on the sea’s surface, blurring the boundary between movement and stillness.

I was drawn to this quiet tension between air, land, and water — the way the shifting light creates a fleeting dialogue of contrast and harmony.
The result is an image suspended between realism and abstraction, where the landscape becomes a meditation on balance and impermanence.

This work brings a sense of depth and quiet strength to any space, particularly those embracing natural tones and minimalist aesthetics.
