THE GULF IN SHADES (Studio 15) is an abstract photograph taken along the Gulf of Follonica in autumn, just before sunset.

In this work, the horizon dissolves into a dreamlike fusion of sky and sea, where soft motion and fading light shape a quiet sense of distance and time. The palette moves gently from cool blues to warm apricot tones, echoing the last glow of daylight before it slips beneath the water.

I was drawn to the subtle transition between air and ocean, where the wind and light seem to breathe together. Through long exposure and delicate movement, the image transforms the landscape into pure sensation — a meditation on stillness within motion.

This photograph brings a sense of calm and depth to minimalist or contemporary interiors. Its layered hues resonate beautifully in spaces with natural textures or neutral walls, enhancing an atmosphere of quiet reflection and understated elegance.
