When I created this painting, I wanted to evoke a sense of mystery and curiosity. After all, it depicts a mysterious creature. At first glance, this creature looks like a pangolin, but it has metal spoons instead of scales. Why?
For me, they are a metaphor for the human impact on the environment. That's why, in the composition, I focused on the animal, which seems to have frozen at the moment of contemplation of the restless water in the spring, a yellowish-brown hue that reflects the surrounding nature. After all, nothing in nature remains unchanged, even if we don't notice it at first glance.
Warm and muted colors give the impression that you are in some cozy remote place,
filled with an atmosphere of peace and mystery.
And this Pangolin drinking from a spring symbolizes both the desire for naturalness and purity, and the connection between nature and the world created by man. After all, the metal spoons on the pangolin's body really raise questions about the nature of the creature and its origin.
It's not just a surreal picture, it's fantastic.
It makes us think about what is hidden in the world and the boundaries between reality and fantasy.
