Original artwork description
A beautiful coastline of calm water, painted in oil.
Created after a trip to Cyprus, where the afternoon sunlight sparkled across the distant sea. It was such a calming and absorbing view, I decided to paint this in my studio, and was transported straight back.
The oil paint is delicately layered. In areas brush marks are evident, adding texture and depth, in other areas the paint is smoothly blended. This combination of brushwork brings life and depth to this seascape. Soft, pale blues and light whites describe the afternoon sky and sparkling sea.
If hung in a light spot, the whites are highlighted (please see 'close up detail' photograph').
Artwork painted on board. Framed in a professionally handmade and hand painted solid wood frame. Frame painted white, but allowing grain of wood to show through (see additional photo).
Painted in Michael Harding Professional Artist's oil paint, on board. This artwork is signed and dated on the rear and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
