The Gathering Quiet has a moody, cinematic quality, capturing that charged pause when nature holds its breath. It feels expansive and dramatic, almost like the moment before the weather turns. The sky dominates the scene, filled with rolling clouds that shift from soft peach and cream into deep greys and cool blues. There’s a strong sense of movement in the brushwork, as if the wind is gathering speed across the horizon.

Below, the ocean and shoreline are painted in sweeping layers of charcoal, rust, white and hints of aqua. The colours create a striking contrast between the warmth of the land and the cold tension in the sky.
