The Flame - mixed media and resin on board - 85x100 cm - 2022
This work is a reflection on my Persian roots and origins and the feelings it arouses in me. Inspired by Persian carpets and miniatures and translated into an abstract key. A sacred fire that on one hand destroys and on the other purifies an art that is reborn from its ashes. Strong and vivid colors where a vermilion red dominates that brings to mind the red of Persian carpets where symbols and mythological animals dance celebrating fire.
The work was presented within the contemporary art competition Artkeys Prize and is accompanied by the exhibition catalogue.
