I painted this work inspired by a simple fisherman’s cottage in La Tremblade and its unique atmosphere.
I wanted to capture the feeling of this lively seaside place, so I used bold, thick brushstrokes and vivid colors.
The red tiled roof immediately draws the eye and seems to warm the entire landscape.
In the foreground, I painted a green tree that brings the composition to life and contrasts with the dark walls of the house.
I kept the sky light and changing to convey the fresh sea air and the movement of the clouds.
The old wooden buildings, boat details, and overhead wires remind me of the everyday life of fishermen.
I did not try to reproduce every detail exactly — what mattered more to me was expressing my personal impression of this place.
For me, this cottage became a symbol of a quiet, simple life, filled with sunlight, the sea, and memories of the French coast.
