Original artwork description:
This painting was inspired by a photograph by Marcus J. Ranum, entitled The Night Fae.
I chose to reveal Marcus' fairy and make her a witch, the colour of the coat and hair clearly making her a witch.
I have moved away from the original photo, keeping only the coat and much of the pose.
The model is different and the lighting is particular as the face is well lit while the light on the body comes from above. A bit of witchcraft in there ....
The challenge was to make a life-size witch.
