Original artwork description
A portrait of a Scottish highland girl portrait in a tartan plaid.
This artwork was inspired by the highland clearances, where thousands of Scots were forcefully evicted from their homes to emigrate throughout the world.
A mixed media artwork created by collaging a pencil drawing on Gaelic religious text background which I have antiqued to resemble old cracked leather of a bible, and a golden halo of real gold leaf.
Painted using quality artists acrylics and graphite pencil with collaged Gaelic text and real gold leaf on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) board, with a gloss varnish finish and black wooden frame with a gold slip. Comes with a cord ready to hang.
All deliveries will require a signature on delivery.
International deliveries may be subject to local customs duties, these vary from country to country and are payable by the customer.
