This painting was done during the James Beard Gallery's Pouch Cove Art Residency in Newfoundland, Canada. This is a special place, it is the northernmost part of the Avalon Peninsula, it is a wonderful part of the island that is washed by the ocean in all directions. That is why such a name and such an idea of work arose.
