This is a one of a kind cyanotype, available stretched over a canvas in a white tray frame (as is shown in the final image hung up).
The cyanotype process uses a mixture of iron compounds, which when exposed to UV light and washed in water oxidise to create Prussian Blue images.
I wanted to portray the dynamic in a relationship, the push & the pull of forces, like when one is watching a breakdance or the day to day forces that hold us together. I really enjoy making these large pieces because they are physical, abstract & always hold an element of uncertainty about how the final piece will come out.
Can be hung horizontally or vertically.
100% cotton, ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide, water
