'The Cloud' continues an ongoing theme in my work of 'neon v nature'.. All our data, and all our dilemmas, dreams and desires that we communicate to each other are stored in this place, the cloud. This fizzing store of human activity is, itself, a physical entity existing somewhere in nature. The painted neon cloud motif is a reflection of this, and sits within a 'realistically' painted cloudscape, fizzing with its own natural painterly energy. Placing the two motifs together asks if there's a harmony or disharmony between the two energies; the man-made and the natural.
