Towns or historic architectural features are interesting subjects for painters.
This work is part of the "Cathedrals" series, a series freely inspired by the famous novel by Victor Hugo: "Notre Dame de Paris".
If "Notre Dame", the building, is one of the major elements of our historical architecture, in gothic style, the style of Victor Hugo's book is romanticism, the true, dramatic, which is the antithesis of classicism.
This painting is done in a modern, disturbing style, a tribute to Beksinski and his nightmarish works.
Impasto, thicknesses of material, catch the light. The metallic acrylic underside produces reflections depending on the lighting.
The main colors are grey blue, dark blue, metallic blue (undercoat), orange red.
The painting will be delivered signed front and back, ready to hang with a system on the back, with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. The shipment is carefully packaged and tracked.
