This year I took part in the Prague Plein Air Festival.
On the final day, we visited Český Krumlov — a small, picturesque town in southern Bohemia. I painted this scene while sitting in a café, sheltering from the scorching heat. The perspective was particularly challenging, and I spent a long time refining the drawing on site before finishing the painting later in my studio.
I used gold pigment on the spires and small flag.
