"The Bass Line" is full of energy and movement, built up in layers of bold shapes and shifting lines. I used a mix of warm oranges, earthy browns, blues, and greens, balanced with dark outlines to give it structure. The process was intuitive, just responding to each shape as it came, letting the painting evolve without overthinking. It’s playful and rhythmic like a bass line, with a mix of contrast and flow that keeps your eyes moving across the canvas. The style draws on elements of Cubism and geometric abstraction, breaking up space, reassembling them, and finding harmony through contrast. Multiple layers of paint create a subtle texture and richness on the surface, adding depth that reveals itself gradually as you look closer.

The artwork has been finished with a gloss varnish to protect against UV and dust.

The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 6 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.
