‘The Bampot’ is a satirical painting. It explores stereotypes and notions of masculinity.
This is not only a cynical piece, however, where we engage in a simple mockery of the man. The narrative reveals an empathy for him and his insecurities: most people share common concerns after all. We all may well be bampots.
