Tehos – G Series In the G Series, I seek a visual tension based on the juxtaposition of two distinct visual registers: On the one hand, black and white, treated with rigor and intensity, imposes a radical and sober presence, evoking a masculine, earthy, and structured force. On the other, nuanced gradations—pink, orange, blue, or green —bring a sensory, velvety, and airy dimension, more closely linked to feminine energy. I attempt to construct a field of forces: two zones of equal dimensions face each other, not in a binary opposition, but in a dynamic balance, a tense coexistence. This dialogue between two poles—strength and softness, contrast and nuance, solidity and fluidity—materializes a reflection on the duality of human identity. This tension within the frame creates a fragile yet stable balance, where each element finds its place. The work thus becomes a mirror of a complex interiority, oscillating between control and abandonment, anger and appeasement—a subtle harmony between opposites. This opposition of forces is part of an approach I've been pursuing for many years with the black silhouettes, then the double heads, revisiting themes that are dear to me, such as choices, opposing directions, bipolarity, and opposing energies that attract each other and form a whole.
