Original artwork description
Part of the ‘Tangerine Light’ series. Each work in the series explores a different interaction of light, colour and surface.
A quiet composition of tangerines with soft light and natural textures, focused on balance and subtle colour transitions.
In a small shop, there was a juicy tangerine on the counter, beckoning to me with its bright orange colour. I couldn't resist taking a closer look at it. It was so bright and beautiful that I bought it, although I did not intend to. After all, I went to the shop for milk.
I immediately drew this tangerine and then ate it with pleasure.
And now you too can smell the tangerine, as it wafts from this drawing. Can you smell it?
The warm glow of the tangerines contrasts with a soft, muted background, creating a sense of depth and quiet atmosphere. The leaves and branch introduce a gentle movement to the composition, balancing structure with a more organic flow.
I am interested in capturing familiar subjects through subtle colour transitions and tactile pastel texture. The surface remains soft and layered, allowing light to emerge gradually across the form.
The restrained palette and calm composition make this piece easy to integrate into contemporary interiors, adding warmth without overwhelming the space.
Works can be displayed individually or as a cohesive group.
