Original artwork description
“Syrian Shadows” is an original oil painting. I painted “Syrian Shadows” in a photorealism style and I wanted the painting to be a documentary on the consequences of the devastating war in Syria.
The refugee crisis in Syria has exploded since the outbreak of the war and the subject of the painting is an old lady who had lived her whole life in Syria but now lives in a tent in a refugee camp in Syria. She is devastated by the crisis that she has been pushed into and bewildered and shocked. I wanted to show this shock in the painting as the shadows of soldiers loomed near by.
"Syrian Shadows" will be professionally framed in a hand crafted frame and will come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
"Syrian Shadows" will be insured and tracked during delivery and delivery will be free.
