There’s something reassuring about building with blocks—one shape at a time, one decision at a time. This painting started from that place: grounded, quiet, composed. But as I worked, I felt the need to introduce a pulse—something that would shift the rhythm. That’s when the bold reds and oranges appeared. Not as conflict, but as awakening.
To me, this piece is about movement within balance—about how something vibrant can enter a space without breaking it. It’s a reminder that disruption isn’t always destruction; it can also be light, possibility, or a new way forward. In the language of Syntax, this is a hopeful sentence—one that leans into the unknown with structure, openness, and trust.
