Artwork description
A limited edition, hand printed screen print and collage, made in England.
The Swing on the earth is inspired by Surrealism mixing an old image of Joan Collins, the actress, with a view of the earth from space, butterfly and hot-air balloon. To extend the limit of the screen printing and creating more emphasis on the main subject, the women on the swing has been made with collage. This collage brings a kind of relief but also a play between the layers. The spectator eyes balance between the bright colours of the balloon, the butterfly and the collage itself.
Please note colour may vary (only slightly) in the flesh.
This screen print was created from photographies and hand printed in blue, magenta, yellow and black water based inks on Fabriano paper.
Size of image : 31 X 29.5 cm
Fits into standard size off the shelf frames.
Limited edition of 4 prints.
This print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and packed in a robust cardboard tube for delivery. A trackable mailing service is normally used to ensure it reaches you safely.
