This is a painting I created after getting caught in a thunderstorm in Stockholm. It was actually by choice as I wanted to capture the reflections of street lighting on wet pavements and the effects you can find. I was running around trying to keep my camera as dry as possible taking photos of the streets and getting totally soaked in the process. This picture was based on one of my photos from that day.
Drottingatan is a famous historic Stockholm street, leading directly to Gamla Stan. Drottingatan means Queen's Street. It's mainly pedestrianised with a few narrow roads cutting across and has a number of popular shops, restaurants and theatres.
