In “Swallow Angel” (140 x 140 cm), part of the visionary cycle “The Wonderful Morning Dreams of Alice”, Ovidiu Kloska unfolds yet another metaphysical cartography of the unseen. This work exists as both a revelation and a concealment, oscillating between the fragile veil of dream and the piercing lucidity of contemporary aesthetics. What we perceive is not a static composition but a luminous palimpsest of forms, transparencies, and shadows that pulse as if inhabited by the memory of other worlds.
The surface shimmers like a cosmic membrane, simultaneously aquatic and celestial, where light pierces the density of matter to reveal a secret morphology—an angel not sculpted in stone, but woven out of currents, breaths, and whispers. Unlike the classic angelic figures of art history, here the Swallow Angel dissolves into energy, fragment, and reverie, becoming a messenger of thresholds rather than dogma. Its wings are not delineated but implied in the expansion of textures, in the shimmering epidermis of lace-like patterns that evoke both the fragility of memory and the persistence of archetypes buried deep within collective consciousness.
The chromatic palette—turquoise light, incandescent copper, violets, and muted shadows—creates a dialogue with the earlier works of the series, where dream and dawn intertwined. If previous compositions in The Wonderful Morning Dreams of Alice explored the first trembling rays of morning, this work is more interiorized, a descent into the liminal zone where matter liquefies and reality becomes porous. One can read in its stratified textures echoes of earlier explorations, but here they culminate in a more mature poetics of the ephemeral.
At its heart lies the paradox of contemporary aesthetics: the simultaneous hunger for transcendence and the recognition of fragmentation. Kloska does not paint “subjects” but energies, resonances, what we could call the topology of the invisible. Swallow Angel belongs to a constellation of works where the metaphysical is not abstract escape but embodied in tactile surfaces, in the bruised skin of color, in the shimmering uncertainty of forms. The angel is both a metaphor for the act of painting itself and a symbol of the human psyche navigating between decay and illumination.
In the wider dialogue of contemporary art, where digital fragmentation and post-human visions redefine perception, this painting situates itself as a bridge between tradition and futuristic sensibility. Its dreamlike cartographies recall surrealist oneirism, yet they are rendered through a contemporary visual language, where translucency, spectral layers, and emergent forms echo the aesthetics of quantum fluidity, of immersive digital landscapes, of neural networks dreaming in color.
Ultimately, Swallow Angel is less an image than a threshold: a space where the viewer is invited to surrender certainty and to enter a state of perceptive reverie. It speaks of flight not as movement through space, but as elevation of consciousness, of the angel not as figure but as vibration. In this sense, Kloska’s angel belongs to the secret dawn of Alice’s dream-world—a being that cannot be fully seen, only sensed, fleetingly, as a shimmer in the corner of vision, before it dissolves back into the infinite morning.

Constantly fascinated, this dynamism of shape opens up in a unique way, by projecting a way of mind, a mind performance with neurological circuits. This is my magic eye.I believe that by uniqueness begins with the very capacity of inventing universe out of things shattered by time, things that have changed into ephemerity. There are hours that I spend staring at the mud, at the wrinkles of the trees, at the rust of walls damaged by time. It is an exercise that everybody should make. It means worming the spirit, getting in touch with the sublime. I am connected to silence and endless time during the short chat between things. Sublime. Esoteric. And the nigh, that cold, fascinating light that makes things change their meaning, driven by an inner tremble that is known from a previous moment, fluttering through images.

/ My visual relates with spirituality, dreams, unconsciousness, delirium, hallucination, with the change of shape and light, with the spontaneous, illusion, abnormal and normal, bizarre and wear. I was born in Romania, Neamt district,in a small town in N E of Romania at 27 of july 1977. In 2000 I graduated the Technical University Gheorghe Asachi from Iasi, Romania, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunication. In 2009 I graduated master classes at George Enescu Art University from Iasi, Faculty of Fine Arts with the project Urban wear oniric interferences object of art. The concept event called "memory trace" is focused on
portrait of contemporary aesthetics, urban man fell into a sleep of impersonality,
of non-name, the spiritual and material constraint, featuring artist
direct expressive compositions, even incisive,
but bearing traces of that human memory will linger in the universe.
Will be exhibited works in oil on canvas, metal graphic interventions on photography,
creations in oil colors relate to wood, metal rusty wire and even nails.
Opening of the exhibition took place on November 14 hours 18. Special guest of this
Vrancea cultural initiatives is distinguished writer George Neagu, founder and editor
importance of cultural magazine "Literary Mirror".
