This painting was inspired after a walk to Watendlath with my children in the summer holidays. I'd heard a lot about Surprise View near Keswick, but it wasn't until I saw it with my own eyes that I realised how beautiful it was. A special place where I always imagine proposals taking place which is why I've painted hearts in the foreground.

This painting is on box canvas, and the painting continues around the sides so it's ready to hang on the wall. 2 coats of satin varnish are added for protection.

All work is my own and all paintings, even if they are of the same place, are original.
