Original artwork description
"Sunset: you are never alone" is one of my "Sunset" collection inspired by the beauty of sunsets in the river Volga in the region of Tver (Russia). It is a palette knife oil impressionistic landscape painting made in June 2020. This is an original oil painting on a 50 x 60 cm linen canvas. Painted with a brush and a palette knife creating a textured canvas (an impasto).
It was inspired by a lonely fisherman whom I saw on the river Volga in the region of Tver (Russia) when the sunset was already ending. This view touched my heart and stayed in my memory. After a couple of days I started painting it from memory.
I wanted to transfer my emotions and feelings about this lonely fisherman sitting in such an amazing sunset. It gave me an idea that not important if you sit alone, in reality you are NEVER because nature is around you with all its beauty.
