This piece is inspired by a late winter sunset over the Yorkshire Dales viewed after a bracing walk. It is my memory of the mood of the early evening as a beautiful blue sky gave way to night.
The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness. The painting is on a fully archival canvas panel and is signed on the reverse.
