This original watercolor depicts the Pivdennyi Bridge in Kyiv at sunset, when the last warm light of the day spreads across the Dnipro River.

The strong silhouette of the bridge contrasts with the glowing sky and delicate reflections on the water, creating a quiet yet powerful atmosphere. I was drawn to this particular moment because of the way the familiar Kyiv landscape transforms in the evening light.

Kyiv is my favorite city and an important source of inspiration for my work. Even during difficult times, I find beauty in its familiar landscapes, light, water, and architecture. This painting is my personal impression of the city — calm, luminous, and resilient.

The work combines an impressionistic approach with elements of realism, using transparent watercolor washes and subtle colour transitions to capture the atmosphere of sunset rather than simply reproduce the landscape.
