The Ramon Crater in Israel’s Negev Desert is the world’s largest erosion crater or makhtesh. A landform unique to Israel’s Negev and Egypt’s Sinai deserts’, a makhtesh is a large erosion cirque, created 220 million years ago when oceans covered the area (the word crater is therefore a misleading translation of Hebrew to English.) The Ramon Crater measures 40km in length and between 2 and 10km in width, shaped like a long heart, and forms Israel’s largest national park, the Ramon Nature Reserve. ***** Limited Edition Fine Art Prints: Each print is part of a carefully curated limited edition of just 10 per size. Prints are produced with a white border and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. I work with one of Europe’s most respected professional photographic labs, trusted by galleries and museums worldwide. Every piece is created using premium archival papers, ensuring exceptional depth, tonal range, and longevity. Each order is produced through the lab’s bespoke service, which includes test strips for perfect color accuracy, oversight by a dedicated production manager, and provenance certificates to guarantee authenticity and quality. Customization and Framing: Custom sizes can be arranged to suit your space. The listed price is for the print only; framing and mounting options are available upon request, and I’d be happy to provide tailored recommendations. Complimentary Worldwide Shipping: All prints are made to order and shipped worldwide at no additional cost, securely packaged to ensure safe delivery.
