When I painted this, I wanted to capture that feeling of standing in a field and just soaking up the sun. It’s that moment when the world feels so bright and full of life that you can’t help but smile.
I see the oranges and yellows as a shout of joy coming from the ground. The flowers feel like they are dancing, reaching up toward those big, happy clouds. Even the mountains in the back feel like they are waking up. To me, this painting is about energy. It’s about how it feels to be outside on a perfect day when everything is blooming at once and you feel completely happy to be alive.
