Original artwork description
Sunlit Coastal Cliffs with Dogs is an oil pastel drawing inspired by the Mediterranean coast. Monumental sunlit rocks rise above a sandy beach, while two dogs run freely near the water.
The rich qualities of oil pastel create expressive textures and intense layers of colour. Warm ochre, orange and violet tones of the cliffs contrast with the soft blue sea and luminous sky. Energetic marks emphasize the rugged forms of the rocks, while the small figures of the running dogs bring movement and spontaneity to the coastal landscape.
The work conveys the warmth, freedom and natural energy of a Mediterranean day, combining the powerful presence of stone and sea with a fleeting moment of life on the shore.
