Original artwork description:

This ambitious 3d collage features a huge 2 piece parasol with scalloped edges and wrapped in a rainbow of silky embroidery threads that fits snug to the edges of the frame.

The artwork has been built in layers in a deep Oak effect box frame.
The backdrop is from a vintage photograph and has been professionally printed onto cotton art rag paper ensuring longevity of colour while the out of focus depth of field and people set the beach scene.

Two ladies are posing on a French Amilcar, a very sporty car in 1927. The image has been carefully cut from a 1960's book and mounted for stability. The lady in the shade has the job of holding this giant parasol which has been mounted at an angle.
I opted for nylon embroidery thread over cotton for the smoothness and lightfast colour, though I would recommend keeping this away from direct sun as with any original art.
The frame has a hook on the back ready for hanging and has real glazing.
